It’s a Generational Thing

Stories in Ancient Lore suggest our thoughts, words and deeds all have the power to affect seven generations.

As mentioned in a previous article, by the age of six, we have witnessed our parents, guardians, siblings etc. response to the world with all the dramas and challenges of living, and we have learned our responses from them. Unless we challenge it, this is the way we too will carry on responding and reacting for the rest of our lives. Sometimes we even end up marrying someone like a parent, so our stories continue!

Most of us, were not brought up to love ourselves. Our parents didn’t love themselves, they were too stressed out trying to survive, and their parents certainly didn’t, it was even harder for them. And what about their parents, and their parents, go back seven generations, was there ever any concept of love given? For some of us it was a ‘spare the rod and spoil the child’ kind of concept. For others it was a ‘let that child cry, you’ll only spoil it if you give it too much attention’. These are just brief examples, but what kind of pain do they teach? The teach us that violence is an acceptable way to make people do what you want them to do, and that anger and abuse are an acceptable way for us to express and inflict our own deep emotional pain on others. They teach us that we are unworthy of loving and being loved, so we end up with low self-esteem, forever after either feeling inferior or the opposite, superior to others. Low self-esteem always swings like this, you never feel equal to anyone.

I also hear so much about illnesses etc. running in families. No one ever questions it, they just blame it on the genes, but the genes are only reactors to stimuli from the environment, they switch on and off as required, according to research by Dr. Bruce Lipton in his book, ‘The Biology of Belief’. A lot of people though if they look, will find that similar thought patterns and behaviours also run in families, which holistically are linked to those so called hereditary illnesses.

I’ve spent the past few years leaning to love myself and others. I’ve broken the pattern of my generations by changing myself first. In doing so I’ve shown my children an example of a different way of being in the world. Was I afraid to change, to break out of the norm or of what I was brought up to believe was the correct way to be? Oh yes, it took enormous courage to become who I really am and to honour that integrity above all else. But in doing so, I have opened a doorway for my children to be more loving, and hopefully if they have children, they too will improve on that. In this way we raise our consciousness and create a better world for all.

 Manifesting What You Really Want

Many of us have a vague idea of what we want. Sometimes we do get what we asked for, but it turns out to be, not what we really wanted after all. Sometimes we don’t even seem to be getting anywhere near to what we desire. It can be a frustrating venture.

I’d like to share some of the things that are helping me to manifest what I want. Ok I’m a work in progress here, and I’m no expert, which is a good thing, as I’m constantly open to trying new and different approaches, so I’ll keep sharing as I learn and get results.

I’d like you to begin thinking of yourself as an architect from now on. What does an architect do?  They take the time to formulate an idea of what they want to create. Once they know what they want, they put some ideas on paper. They believe it is possible, otherwise it won’t happen. They check out the environmental impact of their plan. Then they go into the details. What materials will they use? How much will it cost? Who will they need to help? Ok you get the idea, ready? Let’s go!

Everything in your world has been created from thoughts. Unbelievable huh? Look around you… the clothes you wear, the car, the computer, the pathways you walk on, the building you live or work in, the chair, the bed, all the gadgets etc. Yes! Even you were a thought in someone’s mind at one stage, in my case an unwanted thought, but hey that’s life!

But it doesn’t end there. What about your life right now? The relationships you have or don’t have. The way people treat you. The things you do or don’t do? How you feel about life and your experiences. Your health, your wealth or lack of them? Somewhere you had a thought that led you here. Our beliefs are just thoughts we keep thinking over and over, and these can become our conscious or subconscious reactions to things. These can affect our behaviour and the actions we take or don’t take.

The good news is that if everything in our lives was created by our thoughts and beliefs, then we can change it. Thoughts can be changed, and with different thoughts about things, we will take different actions and form different behaviours, which will create something different. As Albert Einstein said, ‘We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them’.

So the first thing we must do is:

Decide what you want to create. Think about the architect, be specific. Why do you want it? What do you think gaining this will give you? The reason I ask is this, some people want more money, but approximately 70 – 95 % of lottery winners become broke within 5 years and are worse off. Some people who enter new relationships end up feeling they are further from experiencing what they wanted. Some people who change jobs find they have re-entered a similar or worse situation than before.

Sort yourself out first: If you can’t manage your finances now, then winning a large sum won’t change that. Learn how to do it now, so that if you do attract large sums of money, you won’t be a statistic of those who go broke again.

Work on yourself: If you have low self- esteem and no healthy boundaries now, don’t expect that a new relationship or work situation will change that. If you don’t love and respect yourself, don’t expect others to. If you don’t make the time to look after and nurture your wants and needs, then no one else will make sure that you get it. Well this has been my experience anyway. We only get treated the way we allow ourselves to be treated. You’ll only attract what you are, because we each carry an energetic vibration that varies from being lower to higher. In the universe like attracts like. Match your vibration with what you desire and it will suddenly appear. So become what you desire. Manage your finances better and you’ll feel wealthy. Obviously there is more to this, you’ll need to let go of a sense of poverty consciousness if you have that. Start watching what you say and think about money. If you say there is never enough, then there won’t be. Love yourself first and you’ll feel loved and respected, then you will be more discerning with who you engage with in relationships. Support yourself and you’ll feel supported and so on.

We have been brought up to believe that the solution to our problems or our happiness lies in the hands of others. We are constantly looking to the external to satisfy us. We really need to look within first. Our outer experiences are just mirroring our inner perceptions. As within, so without. Start watching for different results as you work on yourself. You will start attracting according to whatever perceptions you are holding inside of you. Also sometimes we start attracting what Florence Scovel Shinn describes in her writings as, ‘signs of land’. You want to attract a large sum of money and only receive a small discount or gift of money at first. Look at this as a positive move towards abundance. Or you want a date but the right person isn’t showing up, but you’ve been asked out by others, this is a sign that you are on the right path, keep going. Just keep being grateful for what shows up, and re define what you DO want. I always say ‘thank you, now I’m getting nearer to what I want’.

Write it down in detail. If you don’t know exactly what you want, then anything and everything will show up. Be very specific. An architect can’t afford to gloss over the details or their creation would collapse, and neither can you, not if you want to create what you really want.

Visualize it. Play it over and over in your imagination. Perfecting it as you go.

Bring up the emotions you want to feel when you have received what you want. E – motion is Energy in Motion. Put some energy into what you desire.

Believe it is possible. Drop the doubts, drop the fears.

Release your resistance to receiving it. Use this affirmation ‘I now release any resistance to: wealth, abundance, excellent health, loving or being loved, the right person, the right home, the right job etc.

Write out your environmental impact plan! No kidding, what affect will getting what you want affect you and everyone else in your life? When making conscious decisions we must take the view of the higher greater good of all concerned. How will others benefit from what you want?

Now take action. Build the foundations under those castles in the air. ‘If you want something you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something you’ve never done.’ Thomas Jefferson (Quote) If you want to move home, check out in detail where you want to move to. Get a snag list done up on the house you’d like. Find out the costs involved. Find out who you’ll need to help you with this. Go on a dating site, join a club, or take up a new hobby. Do a course, research, etc.

Gratitude: You must be grateful for where you already are with what you already have before you can appreciate anything new.

Share your ideas only with people you know will support you. It won’t help you to share with people who reinforce your fears or doubts. They will just help you to stay as you are in the realms of their comfort zone. I found that the people who had the most opinions about me and my life, have never really done anything with theirs, and they didn’t want me to do anything with mine. It kind of shows them up, and they don’t like that. Don’t allow anyone to squash your dreams, the anger and resentment you’ll carry is not worth it for your health and wellbeing.

Goals

Sometimes after doing this we may realize that we don’t want it after all, and that’s ok, just see this as a blessing and re focus on something else that you want. Remember that nothing will be 100% perfect forever. We are constantly changing our ideas of perfection. The only true perfection in life is death, it is final and complete. “If you look for perfection, you’ll never be content.”- Leo Tolstoy (Quote) A lot about creating what we want, is sometimes accepting something imperfect and improving on it where we can.

And finally, you gotta want what you want so much, that you have done all you can to help it to happen, that you just don’t care anymore! Yes you read that right. You reach a point in all of this, that you are content as you are, feeling very grateful for where you are now, knowing what you’d like to improve on it, and realizing that you’ve survived this long without it, and knowing that you can survive a little bit longer, that’s when it just all seems to fall into place, when you’re fully allowing it to! So do what you can and then let it go!

Your Metaphysical Mind

“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.” – Albert Einstein. It took me a long time to realize this myself!

Most of us live our lives day by day creating our reality through the lens of the reasoning mind and our perceptions, which causes us to feel disconnected and separate from everyone and everything else. Have you ever experienced the same situation as another person did, but on talking about your experiences, you noticed that you both had different stories to tell about the same event, causing you to wonder if you were both talking about the same thing? We base our reality mostly on the five senses, which is like taking many pictures of the city you live in, and making up your mind about it, instead of going into the city itself. So the difference between your reasoning mind and your metaphysical mind, is that you also use other aspects like intuition, inspiration, imagination, thoughts and feelings that create a sense of connection with everything else.

Feeling connected to everything else gives us a greater sense of empathy with our world. We see that we are a part of the problems that surround us, and that we are also a part of the solution. It gives us a greater sense of responsibility for the part we play in the whole situation.

We can then become aware of another basic universal principle, that of cause and effect, you reap what you sow.  Each thought we think energetically affects everything around us. If we have repeated dominant thoughts, these in time will affect our behaviour, our actions, and our habits, which will affect those people who interact with us. In turn how we affect those people, will in turn affect the people they interact with. And on it goes.

Most of us are not creating our reality with any kind of awareness, we are unconsciously recreating patterns of behaviours that we perhaps learnt as children. We are on autopilot, reacting to our experiences with our different perceptions. I mentioned this briefly in the part on Core Beliefs. With metaphysics we start creating consciously the kind of world we would like to experience, because with this knowledge comes the awareness that everything returns to sender at some stage. So that everything we send out there, our thoughts, emotions, actions and deeds become the script for our lifes experiences.

Oh I know this may sound way out there for some of you. We haven’t been programmed to think in this way. We have been brought up to believe that our power is external. It comes from other people, situations, material things etc. We were not told that we were also the creators of our day to day reality.

If you want to start using your metaphysical mind, begin by using your thoughts, imagination, intuition, inspiration and emotions in a more positive way. Start with the awareness that everything you think, say and do is affecting someone, somewhere. Now decide what kind of affect you want to be creating. Know that if you are the creator of hassle, drama, suffering, pain etc for others then you are mapping out a future of misery for yourself. Your life experiences will begin to change, when you do!

Have you ever met someone or been in a situation where you felt really good and energised, or felt drained or out of sorts afterwards?

Your body has a natural mechanism that synchs you with strong external rhythms. There is a Universal law of Harmony for the purpose of conserving energy. In physics, it has been observed that there is less energy used where two objects are entrained with each other. Any two vibrating bodies will entrain their energy, if exposed to each other for long enough.

Some examples of this: Pendulum clocks, even if the pendulums are swung in different directions or speed initially, they will eventually fall into sync with each other. Women in close proximity, ie Nuns or very close friends etc will entrain their menstrual cycles, so that they happen at the same time.

A person who has a higher vibration will cause others energy to rise and entrain in sync with theirs, enabling them to feel better. It’s important to become aware of your energy vibration, because if it’s lower, people will feel worse leaving you, as they may entrain to your energy. Or if you’re not aware of your energy, you can entrain to their lower energy and feel drained. Some people entrain with every person they meet, and they can end up taking on a lot of energy that isn’t theirs, which can lead to weight gain, addictions, health problems and emotional imbalances. Most of us aren’t in sync with each other and this can be draining. People will entrain to the most dominant energy.

How do you know what vibration you are? Are you ill, depressed, unhappy, stressed, have lots of conflicts, eating poorly? You have a low vibration. When you are well, relaxed, calm, eating nutritious foods and thinking positive you have a higher vibration.

We also entrain with our expectations, thoughts are energy too. Have you ever visited family or old friends and ended up acting the way you used to act, or saying things that aren’t the kind of things you’d say nowadays? They seem to bring out the worst / best in you, or the old you? Well you’ve unconsciously entrained to their expectations of you, we show them, what they continually expect of us.

This works with children too. Nobody can rise to low expectations! Everyone has the ability to show us either their good or their bad side. We can’t control the behaviour or change others, we can only control and change our thoughts and behaviours, that’s really important. But we can influence and inspire them energetically, to show us their better side a bit more, by thinking about the side of them we like the most.

If you are having a conflict, by matching (entraining) your breath to theirs, you will increase your understanding of each other. Or by choosing to be aware (mindfulness part 6) you can decide to not entrain with them, keeping your energy vibration higher will be less draining for you. If you slow your breathing down and stay calm (managing stress & anxiety part 8) if you have a long enough time with them, their energy will entrain with yours instead.

The Code of Life

Recently, I was trying to figure out how to place a paypal button on my website. I’m not very techy minded and I wouldn’t have known what a html code was if it came up and bit me!

I spoke with a few people who told me it was a really easy thing to do, just put the code in where you want it they said. The problem was, all I could see was the picture on the page. I pressed the html link and just saw what seemed to be gobblygook, a whole page full of it. I thought I must have done something wrong again, and I left the computer in utter frustration.

While pondering how I was going to figure this out, as I sipped my coffee, sending frantic help pleas into the universe, cosmic mind, my angels, guides and anyone out there who could possibly help. I tried to direct my focus to what I did want. In my mind, I could see the buttons on my page, I could feel my delight, and in my mind I was saying, ‘Yay, I did it, high five’. And suddenly in a flash of insight, I understood, that behind the page I was looking at, was an underlying code, and that if I inserted the code for the paypal button in a certain place that it would appear where I wanted it to go on the page. And within a few minutes the job was complete.

Now anyone of you who are familiar with my writing will know that I didn’t come here to write about computer codes. This experience got me thinking that isn’t this all a bit kinda like our lives? I mean here is our reality, sort of like a computer page. Sometimes the page is fine, it has everything you want on it, and sometimes you’d like to add or subtract something, but don’t know how. And many of us go through our lives, sometimes in despair, trying to find a way to do that. And yes there are millions of people on the internet willing to sell you the secret of doing this for a price, which when you’ve paid for it, you find out later that some of the information is incomplete, and that you couldn’t possibly get there without this missing piece…. for another price of course !

So what I want to share with you is a code for life, so that you can put exactly what you want on your page. I’m not saying it’s the only way, there are many paths up a mountain, who’s to say they know the right way? Try and see if it works for you, what’s right for me may not be right for you, and vice versa.

It’s so simple, you’re going to just say ‘No way, it has to be more complicated than that’. But let me tell you, it’s not and doesn’t have to be. It just takes a bit of practice and repetition that’s all.

We were all born with the most amazing gift, rich or poor, black or white, educated or uneducated, sick or well, male or female (or both) old or young, all have been given this gift. But we have been programmed to misuse it or disregard it since birth.

This gift is your imagination and the power to direct your thoughts in any direction you choose. Your thoughts and your imagination are the code to create a different reality, a different picture on your page.

Ok you’ve probably heard this kind of thing before. But do you know about the ‘Observer Effect’ that was discovered in Quantum Physics?

Scientists found out that it was the observer that created the result. That everything was kind of random until they observed it, and that what they observed formed different patterns, depending on the expectations of the observer. Everything in the universe except energy, is matter, and matter is made up of atoms, and atoms are made up of mostly empty space. Never trust an atom, they make things up lol.  Wow, now for me that was a kind of a mind f**k!

What this means is that our reality, is affected by our observation. What this means is, the more you observe something in your life, whether wanted or unwanted, it will have to stay in your awareness. Now this is what the law of attraction gurus will tell you, ie focus on what you do want, feel as if you already have it now, and even the bible, which has been unkindly edited of all the best stuff, has a few references to this. Here’s one, ‘Whatsoever things ye desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them’ Mark 11.24

And that’s all fine and dandy, sometimes I found that worked really well and other times it didn’t appear to be working, and I wondered why. I mean my reality seemed pretty damned real. Albert Einstein apparently said ‘Reality is an illusion, albeit a persistent one’, and hey I’d agree with that!

Then I came across the ‘Universal Spiritual Laws’ I’ll briefly mention some of them here, it’s kind of like the html code, if you want the page to appear, there are certain rules you must abide by. Well, whatever you want, must align with these natural laws. It will also work for whatever you don’t want too. So if your life is not as you want it to be, take note, for this is where you are directing your thoughts and imagination. Focus only on what you do want to appear in your life.

Law of Divine Oneness: everything is connected to everything else, and we affect each other and the universe with our thoughts, beliefs and deeds.

Law of Vibration: everything in the universe moves, and vibrates in circular patterns, everything has its own vibrational frequency, including thoughts, feelings etc.

Law of Action: we must engage in actions that support what we want to manifest.

Law of Correspondence: as above, so below, as above in heaven, universe, so below on earth, and also as above in your mind, imagination, thoughts, so below in your body and reality.

Law of Cause and Effect: every action has a consequence, so we reap what we sow.

Law of Compensation: the visible effects of our deeds or what we have sown are given to us in the forms of gifts, blessings, inheritances, friends etc. We don’t always receive from the person we have given to or have been nice to, but it always comes back to us in some form or another.

Law of Attraction: thoughts, words, deeds, feelings etc. produce energies. Like attracts like energies, negative attracts negative, positive attracts positive.

Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy: we all have the power within to change conditions in our lives. Energies have higher or lower vibrations, by raising our energies we can transform lower energies.

Law of Relativity: everything is relative, there is always someone worse off than us. We all experience problems, or tests of initiation, if we can see these as a challenge and stay focused in the heart when solving them, we strengthen the light within us and can move closer to God Source.

Law of Polarity: everything has an opposite, we can transform undesirable thoughts by focusing on the opposite. We can transform an undesirable life by focusing on the desired life.

Law of Rhythm: everything vibrates and moves to certain rhythms, these establish cycles, seasons, stages of development, patterns etc. We can rise above negative cycles, knowing that this too shall pass.

Law of Gender: everything has its feminine (yin) and masculine (yang) principles, the basis of all creation. Passive and active, thoughts and deeds or action. Nothing happens until something moves. We strive for balance to create what we want.

So to summarize: everything is energetically connected, your thoughts, words,  deeds or actions, all effect someone or something, somewhere. Everything you think, feel and do has a consequence. We can walk the path of the beast and be beastly or the path of the angels and be angelic or just kind. Everything is made up of energy and this can vibrate at higher and lower levels. Lower levels manifest illness, drama, hassles etc. They can be found in addictions, negative thoughts, emotions, poor diets, stress etc. Positive thoughts, emotions, deeds, healthy diets etc lead to higher vibration levels and health, harmony, peace and better spiritual connections, allowing for higher consciousness etc.

We will reap what we sow, if you sow cabbage seeds, don’t expect a rose bush to grow! Our thoughts and actions will determine our experience of reality. We will attract what we hold in our mind, body and emotions. If you hold unto fear, you will attract things to be fearful of. If you focus on undesired outcomes they will continue in your reality.

I have done my own experiments with this. I’ve attracted abundance by focusing on the abundance I already have, gratitude attracts more things to be grateful for. I’ve attracted peace and harmony by focusing on it (‘I can choose peace rather than this’ is a good mantra to help) We can even get people to show us their nicer side, by only allowing our thoughts, imagination and emotions to dwell on the desired behaviour.

People entrain to our subconscious expectations of them, and we get to see the behaviour we expect to see. I found that some people do show me their better sides more often, and that some energetically polarize when I do this, they become uncomfortable around me, or they just move out of my experience and don’t bother me. Either way I don’t have to put up with undesirable behaviour very often, it’s a win, win for me J ! I found that by meditating on the words, ‘Perfect love casts out fear’ when with people who are unpleasant, that they move away quickly from me or change their tune. People act the way they do because of their fear. Try to understand it is their fear. We all have the capacity to be fear or love. Send them love, it will either raise their awareness and consciousness to enable them to see what they are doing, or they will not understand your energy of love, and will be afraid and will move away.

If we want to have a different experience, we have to practice it in our thoughts, feelings, words and deeds because like attracts like. We must be what we want to see. If we want peace, we must cultivate peace within. As within us, so without in our lives. As above so below, as above in our minds, so below in our reality.

Let the Healing Begin

A few years ago, if you’d have asked me was I a healer, I would have laughed at you for even asking me something like that. I didn’t feel worthy or good enough for such a gift.

Yet life is funny and throws some amazing lessons at us to learn, and I discovered that not only was I a healer, but that we all have the ability to heal within us, if we just know how.

For me, it began a couple of years ago. I developed a stress related illness. It started with severe headaches, and fatigue that floored me. I became slightly forgetful, had bad aches and pains in my bones, found that my legs, arms, face etc would become numb with tingling sensations, my speech would slow down and sometimes I was scared that I’d have a stroke. I would go out for a walk fine, and come back limping. I had many tests which didn’t show anything conclusive. I had an idea in my mind that I may just end up in a wheelchair, and I resigned myself to the fact that this was it.

My life wasn’t terribly exciting anyway at the time. I wasn’t happily married, things weren’t right. We were struggling to make enough money to live on. I had no friends left, as I gave them up when I married. I had no interests except the TV, my kids and a bottle of wine at the weekends. I already felt dead inside, and life had no meaning at all for me. I rarely smiled, there was no joy in me, and to be honest there were days when I spent hours considering ending it all. I think the only thing that kept me here was my kids; I wanted something better for them. I was a very ungrateful, negative thinker at the time, and I spent a lot of time trapped in a cycle of worry and fear. I had a lot of unresolved conflicts inside of my head, I had guilt, un forgiveness, frustration and anger all unexpressed and bottled up inside of me. I felt that life wasn’t fair, I felt like a victim and I was blaming the world big time. It’s no wonder I became ill.

Luckily in the course of the tests I was undergoing, I met a person who was so kind and attentive, that it woke me up. That person was just doing their job, it was unconditional kindness they were giving as part of their service to the world and it made a difference.

I realized that I hadn’t ever experienced kindness before; I realized that no one had ever really listened to me before, and suddenly I wanted to be kind to someone, I suddenly wanted to be or do something that would make another person feel alive inside like I did. This is where healing begins, when we reach out of our own darkness and want to help another person out of theirs.

This is where my present journey began in earnest, suddenly I had a purpose. I wanted to be kind, I wanted to help others, I didn’t know what I wanted to do, or how I would do it, as I was an early school leaver with little or no education, but I had a mission and that was a start. I began to read books like Louise Hay’s ‘You Can Heal Your Life’ and explored my thoughts and emotions. I learnt about energy fields , did courses in Chelation and Reiki, I explored Hypnosis, NLP etc I just kept asking questions, and when we start asking questions, we start getting some answers.

I discovered that we play a big part in our own wellness. I discovered that yes holding onto anger, hurt or pain, do steal your energy, they bring the frequency down, and when that happens , we can become ill. So let them go, oh yes by all means express yourself, but then let it go. Wellness is all about creating harmony and balance in our bodies. Address, accept and release if you want to heal. An imbalance of any emotion isn’t good for us. If you are angry all the time, or never angry, there is an imbalance. If you are always joyful, or never joyful, there is an imbalance. Find the point in-between the two.

Don’t let the world affect you too much, but have compassion. Don’t take the world personally. We are human, we are perfectly imperfect. We hurt each other, let each other down all the time. Accept that without losing heart or becoming bitter. Learn to love anyway, regardless of what happens to you, it’s an intention, a journey, you may never reach perfection, but you will free yourself of unnecessary suffering if you can love anyway. There is more than one way to perceive the world and what is happening.

You’re probably asking yourself, did I heal? Yes I am well now, all the symptoms long gone. Are we ever fully healed though?  Well maybe when we die we reach that perfection! I believe that life will give us many wounds to heal as lessons present themselves to us. We can become bitter or better. We can manifest illness, or wellness. I use body intuition now. I ask what my body needs. If I start to feel unwell, I see what emotions, or thoughts I’ve been harbouring, I check my diet, exercise, relaxation, work life balance etc. if I need to rest, I rest. If I need to nurture myself I do that. I don’t smoke and I gave up alcohol. I look at the part I’m playing in creating the imbalance (Illness) and I seek to address it before it manifests into something again. So far so good.

I believe that if we can first accept where we are in life, and add some gratitude for where we are and what we are learning from the experiences, then, we can turn around and start asking the questions.

For me, on hindsight, the illness could have been a great excuse to just opt out of a boring, mundane life that seemed to have no place for me in it. It would have been so easy to ignore the niggling thought, that something wasn’t quite right, that I should be doing something more meaningful. It would have been so easy, to wallow in all the attention an illness can bring. It would have been so easy to fill my life with the endless drama of hospital tests and visits, and retired into my illness until I became it.

But something far greater was calling me, and here I am. I went on to train in Hypnosis, and Reiki, and now I’m embarking on Life Coaching. Is this better than been ill? Undoubtedly! Did I get to be kind and help people? Oh yes, all the time, and it’s so very rewarding.

Is my life all I want it to be?

How could it be better?

If I took full responsibility for my actions and the part I’m playing in what is happening in my life, how would things be different? People only get away with being mean to us, if we allow them to. Stop blaming. Stop allowing them to be mean. If that’s a part you play, recognize it.

If you are ill, what is the illness stopping you from doing, and what would your life look like if you weren’t ill, what would you have to do if you weren’t ill? (And I know that not all people who are ill can get better, but every illness is drawing our attention to something that remains unresolved in our lives I believe) So maybe if you deal with the underlying issues, you may find symptoms relieve somewhat, worth a try, no guarantees though.

If I communicated my wants and needs openly how would my life improve?

These are just some questions you could ask yourself. I discovered that is so very easy to make excuses as to why things are the way they are, but when we see that we can have choices instead of excuses, we can choose more wisely, and choose to make things that are important to us, a priority.

You can be part of the darkness or part of the light. Part of the problem or part of the solution. Just know the part you’re playing, know that you are choosing either one or the other, become aware, and make a conscious choice today, if you want things to be better. Start adding some joy to your world, or start adding more misery, the choice is yours my friend, as we have free will. But just know that you are not powerless in all of this. You have within you something so amazing and beautiful, that if you could see what I see, you would cry tears of joy at the miracle of it all. The sad part is that most of us live and die without ever realizing what treasure we hold within, and we never give the world the benefit of that abundance. So find your treasure and please share so that all may receive the wealth that you have inside of you. You are precious, can’t you see that?
