I have changed my life in a very positive way by challenging old beliefs and conditioning, and have managed to raise my low self esteem, gained great confidence,  have freed myself from worries and fears,  have learned to love myself,  and all of  this has changed my relationship with my world in a profound way. Now that I’ve learned to do these things, I’d like to share what I’ve learned and observed so far, so that I can help you gain insights on your journey, for it gives me great joy to help uplift myself and others.

So thanks for visiting, I’m looking forward to interacting with you and reading your comments, your feedback is always welcome.

Blessings of love and light to you all,

Namaste

    Dear Paula,
I had blood tests done in March 2010…my thyroid was borderline. In May 2010 I was struck on the back of the head/neck and a recent mri scan confirmed a disc protusion on c5-c6. 10 days after my injury bloods were taken and nothing was said about my thyroid…I assume it was normal. Months after my injury , i felt worse instead of better and insisted on bloods being tested and was now diagnosed with an underactive thyroid. I was then put on Eltroxin of which I had a bad reaction to, so I only started on t3 back in Oct 2012. There are no anti bodies in my bloods which means its possible that my injury brought my underactive thyroid on and also c5-c6 disc is linked to the thyroid gland. Can you help me out by telling where i could possibly prove my theory.
    Sandra.

    • Hi Sandra,

Firstly I’m sorry to hear about all that has happened to you. I’m not a doctor, so therefore I’m not in a position to advise. I’m trained as a Hypnotherapist and Reiki Healer. I did a Google search on what you have told me, and yes injury to the c5 -c6 discs are linked to the Thyroid gland and can produce symptoms from what I could see. If you do a search, much information will present itself for you to research.

I have an Under active Thyroid since 2002. I started to reduce my medication in 2012. I have a sympathetic doctor. I have now dropped my medication to 25mcg alternate days. I was originally on 200mcg. I get bloods done every two to three months to check everything is ok and then I proceed to reduce medication slowly. I have been able to reduce symptoms by a variety of holistic measures. I reduced my exposure to Fluoride, as it is an enzyme poison and it displaces iodine. So I was using Scottish bottled water, and I now have a distiller which I’m in the process of getting the water analysed from to check that it removes Fluoride. I changed to Fluoride free and SLS free toothpaste. I stopped eating chicken as the hormones in chicken can affect the Thyroid. I began to eat mostly fish and veg then. I also dealt with the other areas of my life. The Thyroid is at the Throat Chakra and that represents communication, so I started dealing with any issues of that in my life and also started to nurture myself more. I use Reiki healing on myself also, as this affects Thyroid levels.

I’d imagine that as your discs heal, then the symptoms would reduce also. The only suggestion I can give besides getting as much information as possible, would be to request more blood tests, keep a diary of your symptoms, and stay on prescribed medication, while also taking some holistic steps. Then if your symptoms improve, you’ll have them written in a diary which you can bring back and show your doctor, and then you will feel validated in requesting more tests which hopefully will show some improvement for you to reduce medication, if that is what you want to achieve. I wish you the very best, take care of yourself, and if I can help you in any way further, feel free to ask.

  2. Hi Paula you would be delighted to see that the Fluoride issue is now seeping into mainstream media. Check out this week’s edition of Hot Press magazine where there is a 4 page spread on the risks of fluoride by Declan Waugh.
    Regards,
Aisling ( The Girl Against Fluoride)

    • Hi Aisling, I’m delighted that all your hard work and that of Declan Waugh is paying off. Well done. I read the excellent article in Hot press and I’m looking forward to reading part two. keep up the good work !

      Kind Regards,
      Paula

Hi Paula. I have contacted Wis Of nature about a refund and I wondered if you had done the same, after you bought the Eva water filter, which does not remove fluorides? Best, Shan

    • Hi Shan, I contacted the Nutrition Centre in the UK where I bought my Eva Filter from last Jan and received a full refund on the 24 th Jan 2013. They were very efficient. I was then contacted by Wisdom of Nature who assured me they would be re marketing their product differently.I hope you get that resolved soon. I recommend approaching the place where you purchased the filter from, if it wasn’t Wisdom of Nature. Or approach a consumer association. That’s way too long to be waiting.

      Kind Regards,
      Paula

    Hi Paula.

Thank you for your article on fluoride. I am going through dealing with Graves Disease & am only making the connection to our water supply. I am a highly sensitive, intuitive empath & Irish. 🙂 So I feel a kinship to you & what you wrote. I made the connection between my thyroid going haywire & my spiritual awakening experience last year. I too have had issues with speaking up for myself & my throat chakra is my weak point, obviously I know I need to use ways to communicate better, through my art & writing & nurture my own voice, the intuitive one in my heart. I’m working on it. Many thanks for sharing your experience. Anne

    • Hi Anne, I’m so sorry I’m only replying now. Much love and light to you on your journey, I really hope things have improved since. Many kind regards for your supportive comments 🙂
